How to EASILY repair old fancy frames!

Have you ever

           come across an

old frame that

               has some missing

fancy decoration?

Now you can easily fix it!

First you purchase this product
at Hobby Lobby. It's pricy so use your 40% off coupon. Take a friend and have them use a coupon too to get them both 40% off.
I started with this old frame with a corner piece missing it's fancy scroll work.  I picked another corner that had it's scroll work intact...
and made a mold with the clay product. I had one minute (per directions on box) to mix the two part clay, then press onto surface to make the mold. It sets up in 20 minutes and pops off easily when set.

Then I mixed the two part liquid for one minute and poured into the pliable mold. It sets up in 10 minutes. I then popped it out of the mold and trimmed away any areas that I didn't need with a scissors. It will get hard in 15 minutes so I worked fast. Easily fit and glue to surface of frame.
I even made a small leaf that was missing from this area by molding one from another area on the frame. Now it was ready for paint. I chose to paint my frame white, but it can be painted it any color or repainted gold like it originally was.

Now here it is in all its new fancy scroll work glory...complete with an awesome map inside.

Can you detect which corner was missing it's decorative piece?
Well, if you picked the bottom right, you would be right, but I asked hubby to look closely and see which one was the replacement and he did not pick the right corner!!!

This is addicting and fun to do. It used very little of the Amazing products, so I have other frames in waiting that need this done to them...

I'm on a repair roll!!! Plus the beauty of this product, is that the mold can be reused again and again. Therefore if I had a plain frame that I wanted scroll work on, all I would have to do is make a mold from an existing frame and fit it to the other frame.

NOTE:  I was not asked nor paid for this review by anyone or any company. This is my experience and opinion of this product. There are other similar products on the market, but I have only used the Amazing products.

    1. I did the process in a well ventilated garage, but I don't recall any odor.

  3. This looks much easier than the Sculpey Molding Clay I used. Must remember this stuff!

  4. Terry,
I've seen this at the craft store but haven't gotten any yet, I normally use clay to make molds with. Might have to give this a try though.

  6. Terry, Does this product have a strong odor? I used something years ago for a gilded frame that gave me a very bad headache!
